In response to Joan’s blog on Evernote, a web service and software program that allows users to collect notes and information and have it stored to retrieve when needed. I can see this web 2.0 applications, evernote, as a resourceful tool for learners and educators as they progress through the content of the class regardless of the academic discipline.
I like the easy user-friendly application of evernote, as users can click and clip to capture images, save text, photos, copy business cards when at a conference, and anything viewed on the Internet. As learners and educators can use these images to edit, delete, print or email. Like flickr.com one can create research tags to associate words and ideas to your image and this will help one organize one’s computer files and keep track of what one needs to remember about that specific image.
I agree with Joan on how evernote can organize images and help reduce stress, for teachers and learners alike, by organizing information through the pictures for future reference. I believe evernote can help students keep track research, homework, notes, tests, quizzes, and other school-related articles. I can see how evernote can allow students to archive their pictures of their important papers and projects. As a user-friendly web 2.0 application, evernote allows learners just click and then upload the pictures to organize the stored information.
I agree with web 2.0 applications like evernote that can make the chaotic, stressful lives of teachers and students easier to manage. Like a cyber sticky note, take a snapshot of an article you really want to read, save the image with evernote and for when you have time to read.
I can see how Evernote can become one’s new memory database, a cyber rolodex that allows for the easy accessibility of a notepad.

As I have stated before, I am new to the cyber virtual worlds and applications. In 1995, I sent my first email well after I graduated with my undergraduate degree in 1993. I am a naturalistic learner and I enjoy being outdoors as my comfort zone in learning. I started a facebook account in November 2008 and quickly connected to friends throughout my past.
When I started Full Sail University, I choose to create a second facebook account that was specific to Full Sail University classmates and professors. I felt it is was better to focus my new account on academic and professional networking, rather then the as a social free for all.
There have pro’s and con’s to having multiple accounts within one web 2.0 application as my personal friends attempt to gain access to my Full Sail account through a friend request. Rather then have my friends’ personal updates on their life, I attempted to use my new facebook account as a professional network of classmates and instructors. Now I can separate the personal entries of my friends and the personal lives of my clssmates.

As I continue my cyber journey through Full Sail University, the three web.2.0 applications that currently stand out the most are: igoogle.com, flicker.com and facebook.com. As these three applications are resourceful tools to use to add organization within an ever so developing virtual world.
igoogle.com
When I was introduced to igoogle.com I was truly pleased, as if my questions related to organization and follow through had all been answered. Within minutes, I was able to organize all of my daily cyber routines all in one convenient spot, igoogle.com. I have organized my Full Sail University accounts, with my class requirements and my access to my Full Sail email account. In addition I have organized my action research accounts, as well as my personal cyber life all within a click or two away.
Igoogle allows one to personalize their experience in using web 2.0 applications, a customizable homepage. Allowing users to view gmail and other email accounts. Connecting to news sites for information and research. One can store bookmarks for quick access to their favorite cyber locations. Users can use gadgets and create gadgets to assist their experience in cyber space.
I look forward to learn more about igoogle.com and to see how I can further organize my cyber life and responsibilities particularly related to my Full Sail University Masters Degree Program in Education in Media Design and Technology.
